Neural Learning is a proven system that allows people to process and transfer knowledge
more efficiently and effectively, significantly reduce learning time and improve memory
retention. It also creates behavioural changes that will positively effect a student’s
performance such as in self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth.
The course has been run from the north to the south of the United Kingdom.
Dr. Paget started his research into how the brain learns 20 years ago. At the time his
theories were ridiculed by his peers. Now they have become an established practice
throughout education.
Previous thinking was that education had little to do with learning within the brain however, learning is
what the brain does from conception to death. Education is where we place a body of
knowledge of a particular subject onto an innate learning system. The degree to which that
topic is absorbed by the system determines our performance in the subject. The discovery of
how a student learns, prior to teaching the subject, should be the quest of all professional
educators.
As a result, Dr. Paget designed a programme that would help students and adults process
and transfer knowledge more efficiently and effectively, significantly reduce learning time
whilst improving memory retention.
To test his theory, Dr. Paget trained 120 students in the skills and techniques of the
Neural Learning Programme. All of the 120 students trained lifted their grades.
The following year the test was far greater. He trained 2000 students in the same skills
and techniques as before and 1980 of those students lifted their grades.
10 years on the programme has helped over 68,000 students and 65,000 adults. Both were
given the same techniques and both with the same level of effect.
This year, as every year, Dr. Paget has reviewed and improved the programme to make it
even more effective.
To Whom is it Applicable?
It is applicable to everyone regardless of age or ability. We bespoke the programme to
the needs of the school or college to get the best out of the students who attend the
programme.
- It is ideal for all students from the top 2 classes in primary education to the top
advanced-level students at the end of their school education
- It has dramatically changed students in their mid-years in secondary school to
permanently change their learning motivation
- It is an ideal vehicle for transition from primary to secondary education
- For students in their first year in secondary school, the change in learning rates was
outstanding. In one group, the learning change established has been maintained for the
last 4 years!
Variations
Over the years this programme has developed a number of variants:
- Gifted and Talented
- Slower Learners
- Transition
- The Boost Programme - Ideal for groups of students who have lost their way!
- 'A' Level Student
- The specialist grade lifter programme for schools wishing to improve their
5 A-C grades
Monitoring the System
Over the years their have been a number of approaches used to measure the success of the
programme:
- Set up a placebo group alongside the group being trained
- Use the knowledge and wisdom of the teachers to set expected grades then measure
the students final grades with the expected grades
- Get the Maths department to set up an in-school statistical measurement
Our suggestion is that you use two different measuring approaches and then evaluate them
to finalise a measurement in which you have faith that it is an accurate measurement.
Investment
For 70 students to be trained in this programme the investment costs would be as
follows:
2 x Groups of 35 students = £3600.00 + VAT + travel
What each student will receive for the investment:
- 3 x 3½ hours of training (10½ hours)
- 42 follow-up letters (1 per week)
- 24/7 access to 1-to-1 guidance and monitoring by e-mail or by telephone
- Immediate access to a 600-page E-Learning site devoted to learning strategies
and techniques
- A free copy of "Examinations-Take them the brains way" by Dr.Roy Paget
- A free subject consultation by telephone or visit if required by the student (students
must fund own transport)
- Access to the best mathematics website on the net
