Over two Decades of Training and Research
Teachers and Schools
Our record with students is staggering!
In the last academic year we trained 3000 students in schools throughout
the UK. Within this number we trained 600 students who were specifically preparing for their GCSEs. Having viewed
their achievement data it clearly shows that it will be one of our best years in raising the grades of C/D
borderline students. The past analysis shows that we have trained 350,000 students, raising a staggering total of
2.6 million grades across all subject areas.
For the last 23 years BAAT have been engaged in a global research programme directed to amassing data into how the
brain learns (neural learning). Eight years ago BAAT was asked to apply some of the research data into developing
a programme to help students improve their grades.
Since BAAT commenced this programme into schools, the majority of which were inner city schools, 350,000 students
have raised their grades. Again, the majority of the students chosen were students whose expected grades were E
and D. They also came from challenging and under-achieving schools.
Parenting
BAAT offer a range of courses and resources for parenting and child development utilising the principles of
Emotional Intelligence (EQ). The learning ability of children can be raised and with appropriate parenting support
and guidance, child development becomes an enjoyable and rewarding facet or the parent - child relationship and,
of course, aids the child's realisation of their potential.
It is obvious why parental support is so crucial - a child is at school for approximately 13.6% of the total
amount of time that they have in one year and are, therefore, under parental care for 86.4% of the time.
Self Development
Research into what makes one individual more successful than another, even when the backgrounds favour the
non-successful one, has occupied people since pre-science days. However, in recent years with the better
understanding into the way we think, especially the growth of neuro-psychology, has shown that there are common
similarities and common traits that are always present in successful people.
The purpose of our programmes is to show you how to develop the awesome power within you utilising the principles
of emotional intelligence (EQ) and Brain Based Learning.
Adult Learning
How intelligent you may be is no longer relevant, neither are your past educational achievements or your job
function. What’s more important is to find out HOW you learn, for it has now been proven that each person uses
multi-process learning streams, therefore the brain learns in a whole variety of different ways.
Your rate of learning never stops. Your brain has its own unique way of learning. Unfortunately, schools and
colleges are only now beginning to take notice of this fact.
If you have left full-time education, you are in the majority of people who are imprisoned within a very strong
and imposing poison within your mind. The way you accept new knowledge is not congruent with the way you learn and
it is from this perspective that we have developed, and continue to develop and research, a series of courses and
resources specifically designed to meet the needs of those no longer in full-time education: whatever their age.
